ARRIVE
2024 – 2027
Traditional Vocational Education and Training (VET) often emphasizes technical skills, leaving a gap in preparing learners for real-world challenges. ARRIVE bridges this gap by offering innovative and engaging Modular Escape Room Scenarios (MERS) that adapt to various contexts and evolving workplace needs.
Supported by the 2020 Council Recommendation on VET, ARRIVE aims to enhance learners’ readiness for the job market by integrating essential employability skills into VET.
This project not only makes learning more engaging but also ensures practical applicability through real-world simulations, benefiting learners from diverse backgrounds.
Additionally, ARRIVE provides a mechanism for skill assessment and validation via micro-credentials, adding significant value to the learners’ experience and employability.
By involving learners, teachers, and Work-Based Learning (WBL) companies, ARRIVE ensures the development of skills that are truly needed in the workplace, enhancing its relevance and impact across Europe.
Objectives
-
- Skill Development: Enhance the non-technical skills of VET learners, such as problem-solving, communication and collaboration.
- Engagement: Increase learner engagement and motivation through the use of interactive and immersive Modular Escape Room Scenarios.
- Transition Support: Facilitate the transition from VET education to the workplace by providing practical, real-world scenarios in the escape rooms.
- Assessment: Develop a robust and fair system for assessing and validating the skills developed by the VET learners with the ARRIVE Assessment and Validation Concept (AVC).
- Dissemination: Create a Transfer Concept and Toolkit (TCT) that can be used by VET providers across Europe to implement their own MERS.
