The ESEAL project builds on the findings of the previous SIATE project, which ended in 2023. The SIATE research highlighted the need for entrepreneurship education (EE) for adults and NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) in Denmark and Italy.

Key findings include:

• Individuals with entrepreneurial competences are more likely to engage in democratic processes and contribute to civil society, enhancing social inclusion.
• In Denmark, EE is not part of the General Adult Education curriculum, and most teachers lack knowledge about EE.
• In Italy, many educators lack understanding of EE and social innovation, necessitating continuous professional development.

Overall goals

1. 1. Educate Educators: Train educators, trainers, and guidance staff in social entrepreneurship and innovation to enhance their competences and ability to design high-quality micro-lessons.
   2. Create Micro Lessons: Develop, test, and evaluate micro-lessons focused on key topics in social entrepreneurship and innovation, incorporating the EntreComp framework’s competences.

 These goals will be sought through a range of activities:

• 2 transnational workshops with 10 educational staff members from partner organizations.
• 25 micro-lessons designed collaboratively, implemented in classes, and evaluated with approximately 50 adult students in Denmark and Italy.

The project aims to integrate social entrepreneurship education into adult education, providing NEETs and adult learners with the skills and knowledge needed to create and sustain social enterprises, thereby promoting social inclusion and improved job opportunities.
