AILY-VET: AI Learning Assistant for Your VET journey
2026 – 2027
The AILY-VET project aims to promote digital transformation in vocational education and training (VET) and adult education through the development and implementation of an AI-based Learning Coach Agent. With a total budget of EUR 60,000 and a duration of 14 months (September 2026 to October 2027), the project brings together expertise from a German vocational school and a Danish adult education centre.
The core focus is to create a GDPR-compliant tool that supports personalized learning pathways, formative feedback, and self-regulation, while strengthening the digital competences of both teachers and learners.
Project Purpose and Priorities
The project addresses the challenges faced by teachers and learners in a technology-driven labour market, where the need for AI skills and digital resilience continues to grow.
Strategic Priorities
- Digital Transformation: Development of digital skills, readiness, and capacity.
- Labour Market Relevance: Aligning vocational education with labour market needs and addressing gaps in fundamental skills.
- Innovation and Quality: Contributing to the renewal of vocational education systems through innovative pedagogical models.
Expected Results and Impact
The project aims to generate concrete and transferable outcomes that can be applied across Europe.
Tangible Outputs
1. Validated AI Learning Coach Agent
A tested beta version and release candidate, accompanied by comprehensive documentation.
2. GDPR and Ethics Framework
Checklists and templates supporting the safe and responsible use of AI in educational institutions.
3. Open Educational Resources (OER)
A multilingual tutorial, “How to Build and Use a Learning Coach Agent”, together with workshop materials released under an open licence.
4. Evaluation Report
Documentation of competence gains and a roadmap for integration into existing curricula.
Long-Term Impact
The project’s sustainability is ensured through the training of multipliers (educators who can maintain and adapt the agents independently). The collaboration between Germany and Denmark provides valuable insights into different national approaches to data protection and pedagogy, making the project’s outcomes highly relevant for a broad European context.
